Dear colleagues of the European Society of Criminology,
I am reaching out to you on behalf of the American Society of Criminology’s Division of
International Criminology (DIC). We are a group of educators, researchers, practitioners
and students with interests in international criminology. Our executive committee invites
individuals to join our membership base through the American Society of Criminology.
We publish International Criminology, the official peer-reviewed journal of the DIC. The
journal is the premier outlet for peer-reviewed policy essays and empirical and theoretical
work on international, transnational, and comparative criminology and criminal justice. It
is an interdisciplinary journal that is geographically diverse in terms of the researchers’
backgrounds and the research’s subject matter.
We are currently updating our website (https://internationalcriminology.com/). Given our
shared interests building a wide global network, we will be including a hyperlink to your
organizational website in our links tab. If your organizational website has a links tab, we
invite you to include the DIC.
The editors-in-chief of International Criminology welcome scholarly papers on a diverse
range of topics. Please reach out with questions to Ineke Haen Marshall or Janet P.
Stamatel.
In closing, as the chair of the DIC, I am eager to build new international collaborations.
Please reach out to me at dmbeich@ilstu.edu if you would like to discuss mutual interests.
Lastly, if you or your colleagues have events that you would like us to publicize across our
membership listserv, please send a message to asc.dic@gmail.com
Kind regards,
Dawn Beichner-Thomas, PhD
